Nicoh Ryan is turning 7! A Race Car themed party is what this little boy imagined! He wanted cars everywhere, and helmets too. What is a Mommy to do??
I started with the invitation, created by Nessa Sander also know as Cardgirl. I told her I wanted something fun, " with a black and white checkered flags on it. |

Cardgirl came up with the ultimate invite that looked like a Racing Ticket! With that design, I was able to work around it and incorporate that theme into the whole party!
The Cake was made by Sonya Hong from Butterflycakes. She took the invite and made a two-tiered cake that matched it! She also made cupcakes, each with a racecar design that had the # 7 on it. Each design was individually colored to make it totally stand out!
Jerene from "Sweet Jerene" made chocolate chip cupcakes that had road ways on them with checkered totally stood out! Can't have a car without the road, right??
|
| I created the favors. To create the favors, I used a small black bag with a tag attached to the front which said, "YOU'RE THE WINNER. Thank you for Racing your way to Nicoh Ryan's 7th Birthday!” The bags were filled with, a small trophy, car bubbles, and PEZ helmets, which were all purchased from Oriental Trading. |

Each child also received a race car hat and a pit pass to wear! At the end of the party, the children received a helmet, the color of their choosing. The Helmets were also used as decoration on each table which all the guests really loved! The decorations included black and white checkered flags hung everywhere!
Red, black and white balloons stood out from our home deck, which gave the party the "Race Car" feel. |
We also lined up Race Car flags along our walkway to welcome the guests. All the guest felt as if they were at an actual NASCAR event!
For entertainment and fun, the kids lined-up to hit a race car piñata, lapped up Dippin Dots Ice Cream and enjoyed purple cotton candy! We played games that made each child a winner! Due to rain, and the wet grounds, we played indoor games, including "Hot Car" which is like "Hot Potato", “Dale Says” instead of “Simon Says” for Dale Earnhart, and the ultimate classic—Musical Chairs.
This party really "took off" and each kid left with a smile! It was the greatest, RACE CAR themed-party ever! Nicoh Ryan’s Race Car dreams came true.
This is a party that no one will ever forget
